After all, Sollux ended up being more or less alright and Kanaya turned out not to actually be dead. Or, well, at the very least she came back in some way. As for Feferi… From the ghosts of her that he’d seen, it seemed like she was doing alright for herself. Thankfully, that didn’t seem like it was going to be the case. As far as he could tell, Kankri didn’t seem like a bad guy. Neither of the Vantases really did. Sure, Karkat was a shithead, but it was always obvious that he cared deeply about his friends. After Roxy spoke again, there was a ghost of a smile on his lips. It didn’t last long, but for someone who was so used to seeing him, like Roxy, it was probably hard not to spot. “Now that is something I can get behind. A shudder ran up his spine and his fin folded over Karkat’s fingers almost reflexively, it felt odd, but not in a bad way. His breath would hitch as Karkat touched over his fin curiously, focusing all of his strength into flaring them out a bit so they’d be easier to touch. All the while Eridan was clutching onto Karkat’s shirt tightly, his claws nearly digging into his own palm if he didn’t have the barrier of shirt to pierce through.
