Shock subsides and she relaxes. Seeing the way Kankri's face contorts she'll be sure to make this an efficient process as to not prolong that suffering. Nepeta offers him a reassuring smile, shaking her head as she continued her work, "no no! it's ok to do. kind of sounded like karkat for second there" [br] [br]The midblood's letting out a quiet giggle at the thought. She's done removing the old stitching soon enough and goes to toss the old ones away. Coming back with the fresh needle and thread. She uses thread meant to bend and move with a lot of movement, while also accounting for her own strength... so realistically, it should hold his wound no problem and allow him to move more freely. Everything's sterile, all that's really left is to begin with the meat of this. "okay... i'm going to start closing this up, alright? here" Nepeta brings her tail around to drape it over the warm troll's lap, "something to maybe k33p you occupied. it might help..." When it comes time to cut the thread, she'll quickly bring the scissors back and bam, the first one is done. A horrible habit she's failed to curb when attempting to comfort people. Her steady and certain hands move on to the next set.
